Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 9, 2026
Overview
BlackCard is a free-to-play simulated blackjack game for iOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
The short version: BlackCard does not require an account, does not collect personal information, and does not share any data with third parties. All game progress is stored locally on your device.
Information We Collect
Data stored on your device
BlackCard stores the following game data locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults system. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us:
- Game progress (balance, XP, rank, games played, games won)
- App preferences (sound settings, haptics settings)
- Cosmetic selections (card back style, felt color)
- Daily login streak and last claim date
Data we do not collect
BlackCard does not collect, transmit, or store:
- Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
- Account credentials (there is no account system)
- Payment information (the app is free with no in-app purchases)
- Location data
- Contacts, photos, or any other device data
- Analytics or usage telemetry
- Crash reports or diagnostics beyond what Apple provides by default
In-App Purchases
BlackCard version 1.0 contains no in-app purchases. All chips in the game are simulated and have no real-world monetary value. Any future in-app purchase functionality would be processed entirely by Apple and subject to Apple's privacy policy. We would never handle payment information directly.
Third-Party Services
BlackCard does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The app does not make network requests and does not communicate with any external servers.
Children's Privacy
BlackCard is rated 17+ on the App Store due to simulated gambling content. The app is not directed at children under the age of 17 and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Data Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all BlackCard data at any time by deleting the app from your device. You can also reset your progress from within the app via Settings → Reset Progress.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
